Day 2 – London Outreach
Day 2 of The Open-Air Mission London outreach saw us in Leicester Square. Due to a movie premiere taking place tonight, the square was partially blocked off as workmen laid the red carpet and made preparations for the celebrities who would soon be arriving.
This made things a little challenging, but we managed to find a suitable location, and soon the preaching was underway. Another challenge was the weather. It would rain lightly, stop, and then rain again. This pattern continued throughout the day.
As with all team event reports, I can only share some of what I was directly involved in; but needless to say, all the team members were kept busy with gospel work.
Today, I preached twice. On both occasions there was little interaction, but a few people paused to listen, and two accepted copies of John’s Gospel when they were offered.
One of those who took a copy of John’s Gospel was a Muslim from Albania. We had a friendly conversation, and he also accepted a booklet designed specifically for Muslims.
Day 2 of the outreach was a little slower for me, but I still rejoice that the gospel went forth. Please pray for all those who heard the good news.
