Day 4 – London Outreach

It was back to Leicester Square for Day 4 of The Open-Air Mission London outreach. As with other days, I cannot tell the stories of other team members, but suffice it to say, they were very busy in gospel ministry.

I was the first preacher of the day. For my message, I preached on “God Is Love!” A few people paused to listen to parts of the message, but sadly, by the end, no one was willing to take a copy of John’s Gospel.

Later in the day, as Rob was preaching, I noticed a young Middle Eastern man listening. After a while, he began to move away, so I offered him a tract and we quickly began to discuss spiritual truth.

The man was from Saudi Arabia and had only been in the UK for a couple of days. Previously, he had lived in the USA, but then he said, “No one ever explained why Jesus had to die on the cross.”

I happily explained the good news to him. The man listened, then said he was trying to be religious and follow all the teachings of Islam, but he still felt burdened and did not think he had done enough. Taking him to Matthew 11:28-30, I showed him how Jesus can take that burden and give him rest.

The man could not take a Gospel of John due to the law in his country, but he did take a tract. Please pray for him.

Later in the day, I had the opportunity to preach again. This time I spoke on “Hope for a Broken World.” The Lord was pleased to bring a few people in to listen, including several Christians from both the UK and the USA who said they were encouraged.

It was another joyous day on the street. Please pray that all those who heard would be saved.
