What Are We Ashamed Of?
Even though my flight was just beginning I was already feeling tired; I had determined beforehand that I would get to my seat, put on an audiobook and then perhaps after a little while drift off to sleep. Even though I was travelling to Western Australia to share about how to evangelise, I wasn’t in the mood for talking.
Newquay Evangelism: Gospel Advance!
Immediately, I was struck by the willingness of people to take tracts; at times it felt like we couldn’t hand them out fast enough. But not only was literature going out, but gospel conversations were beginning to take place also.
Newquay Evangelism: "I'm saying no to Jesus!"
I explained the gospel to her, and called on her to trust in Jesus, but she refused. I asked her, “Are you saying no to God’s love and compassion today?” She looked at me and said, “I’m saying no to Jesus!”
Newquay Evangelism: Atheism and the Gospel
Once the open-air board was set up George began to preach. As he spoke a young woman walked past and yelled out, “I am gay. God hates me!” George replied by pointing her to the love of Christ, but the woman kept walking. What appeared to be a ‘drive-by’ comment would actually be a hook that drew this young lady back to the discussion later on.
Newquay Evangelism: "I'll be worm food!"
My nerves were rising up as I got my Bible ready to preach; personally if I could have I would have happily let someone else take my place as preacher. Even after proclaiming Christ in the open-air for sixteen years I get nervous when it comes time to proclaim…
Back into the Open Air!
What was sad is that until today Patrick had never heard of God’s love, or of what Jesus did upon the cross; here is a man who was not young, yet he lived in England and had never heard the gospel - truly this nation needs missions!
Many Hear the Gospel in Plymouth
We headed up to Devon for a great time of evangelism in Plymouth. For some reason many people kept asking about LGBT issues; nevertheless, the gospel still went out to many.

Door-to-Door Evangelism in Newquay

Newquay Evangelism: Little by Little the Kingdom Advances
The sun managed to break through the rain clouds this afternoon, so I thought it’d be good to head down to the town centre for a time of evangelism.
Newquay Evangelism: What is God's preferred pronoun?
I had a free forty minutes this morning so I decided to head down to the High Street of Newquay to share the gospel… it was an “interesting” time.
A Tale of Two Outreaches - Redcliffe & Manly
Please pray for all those we spoke to today; the darkness was great, but the light still shines. This really struck me when as I was handing out tracts among thousands of people celebrating paganism, a lone piper began to play Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. Even though the darkness celebrated, there in the midst of the darkness was God’s amazing grace!
Providence on Display in Redcliffe
In Psalm 37:23, we are told that the steps of a righteous / good man are ordered by the Lord. Today, I saw a very practical outworking of that biblical truth; the Lord’s providence was clearly displayed in Redcliffe.
The Flourishing of the Gospel in Redcliffe
John shook my hand and said, “Thank-you for talking to me and answering my questions. When I was a child my Pastors would not answer the hard questions, yet you stand here and give me very good answers. If they had answered, I am sure my life would be much different.”
"I am so glad you guys are here!" - Redcliffe Outreach
Upon hearing this they both smiled and said, “That makes sense.” The young man then said, “I am so glad you guys are here. I can approach you and ask questions. It is great that you are here to help me understand about God.”
A Hard and Hostile Day in Redcliffe
Some days I come home from witnessing with a spring in my step as it had been a good day of gospel ministry… today was not one of those days.
Moving to the United Kingdom!
God-willing, in December 2019 we will move from Australia to Cornwall in the United Kingdom, where I have accepted a call to become a Missionary / Pastor at Newquay Reformed Baptist Church.
“That is tremendous news!” - Plymouth Outreach
I then said to him, “Zane, if I said to you that you deserve Hell, but now you have to work really hard so that God may one day let you into Heaven, would that be good news?” He replied that would be terrible. I then followed up, “Zane, if I said to you that you deserve Hell, but Jesus paid the fine for those who trust in Him, would that be good news?” Zane smiled and exclaimed, “That would be tremendous news!”
